Ouroboros

This is the power of gathering: it inspires us, delightfully, to be more hopeful, more joyful, more thoughtful; in a word, more alive. ~ Alice Waters

Welcome to Paths of Heart“- a high spirited, heart-centered community where we gather together in music, poetry, commentary, and dialogue to create and nurture joy, compassion, gratitude, and love – in our own lives and throughout the world.  Paths of Heart is a 501(c)(3) Human Services/Educational non-profit organization that uses the arts, especially, to encourage and propel seekers of a better, more peaceful world to find ways to serve, while becoming more kind and compassionate human beings.

We welcome you as we collectively and individually explore the sweet mysteries of life – this is an invitation into co-creation! Our gatherings are most every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at 117 Evans Drive in north Fort Collins. Childcare is available (please let us know ahead of time so we can make arrangements).

We hope our paths cross soon!

Ouroboros

Suzanne Rouge will be our guest speaker this Sunday.  Her talk will include a discussion on Ouroboros ~ one of the oldest mystical symbols in the world, depicting a snake swallowing its own tail.  In alchemy, it symbolizes continuous renewal. Suzanne notes that “transmuting toxic thought into lasting transformation is an inner process we can tend to daily in order to reclaim life force energy for creative pursuits.” She will lead us through an ancient Incan breathwork technique that allows us to do just that.  Suzanne is an educator, reflexologist, artist, and author now living in Colorado’s San Luis Valley.

Transformation isn’t a future event, it’s a present day activity. “

~ Jillian Michaels

“Whatever awakens you to your alchemist is the elixir you need.”

~ Iva Kenaz
“Transformation literally means going beyond your form.” ~ Wayne Dyer

Looking Ahead/Notes of Interest

Saturday, June 30th, 7 pm – “Paths of Heart Presents…” House Concert with Portland, OR folk-rock artist Olivia Awbrey. Since releasing her debut EP, Fight or Fight (2017), Olivia has garnered attention in the folk and psych-rock communities in the US and the UK. Unafraid to blur lines between folk, psych and punk, her songs and voice have been likened to Esme Patterson and Liz Phair.

Exploring themes as ordinary as grocery store check out lines and as extreme as the formation of Pangea or the aftermath of a feminist mutiny at the White House, Olivia continues to draw in listeners throughout the US and Europe. While intermittently recording her sophomore release, due out early 2019, Olivia is on tour in the US this spring and summer, and England this September.  Listen to Olivia’s music at: https://oliviaawbrey.bandcamp.com
