A Time of Renewal

This is the power of gathering: it inspires us, delightfully, to be more hopeful, more joyful, more thoughtful; in a word, more alive. ~ Alice Waters

Welcome to Paths of Heart“- a high spirited, heart-centered community where we gather together in music, poetry, commentary, and dialogue to create and nurture joy, compassion, gratitude, and love – in our own lives and throughout the world.  Paths of Heart is a 501(c)(3) Human Services/Educational non-profit organization that uses the arts, especially, to encourage and propel seekers of a better, more peaceful world to find ways to serve, while becoming more kind and compassionate human beings.

We welcome you as we collectively and individually explore the sweet mysteries of life – this is an invitation into co-creation! Our gatherings are most every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at 117 Evans Drive in north Fort Collins. Childcare is available (please let us know ahead of time so we can make arrangements).

We hope our paths cross soon!

Easter Sunday,
April 21st

A Time of Renewal
Happy Easter, everyone!  Did you know that Easter, like so many religious holidays, is one of the most intertwined with pagan symbolism and ritual? Today’s discussion will focus on the themes that Easter time evokes within us – its inner significance of rebirth, renewal, everyday miracles, new beginnings, springtime…
We can all create our own Easter story and celebrate this wondrous time of year!  We’d love for you to share your inner meaning of
Easter.  Emma Sloniker and Judi Lucero will join us in some spirited music this Sunday, also.

Then, please join us afterwards for a special Easter potluck immediately following our gathering.  Paths of Heart will provide a spiral ham, potato salad, a cheese plate, some other Easter goodies, and a variety of beverages.  Please bring a festive dish to share (deviled eggs are always welcome!)  The weather forecast (so far) does not look promising for an outdoor celebration, but then again, we might just experience an Easter miracle!  🙂

“The true meaning of Easter? Find it within and celebrate it. Celebrate all expressions of joy however they manifest. Even if Easter has no meaning to you at all– just another day. Another day is the most beautiful of miracles. Celebrate every minute of it however you feel called to, and allow and rejoice in others however they feel called to celebrate theirs.” ~ Spiritsong

“Some things have to be believed to be seen.”

~ Ralph Hodgson

“In life, we tend to get what we expect. Start expecting the best. Since life is a do-it-to-yourself project, why not believe in miracles? You have the freedom of choice. Why not expect miracles to happen in your life? Make plans, work hard and expect miracles. Why? Because you can.”
~ Mark F. LaMoure

“Springtime inspires us to believe that, along with the earth, we too might change, release the past, and give birth to new ideas.”  ~ Madisyn Taylor

Looking Ahead/Notes of Interest

April 21st ~ We’ll celebrate Easter with a potluck immediately following our gathering.  Please remember to bring your own table service (plates and utensils) as we aim for near  zero waste.  We had hoped for an outdoor celebration, but we’ll see what the weather brings!

Tuesday, May 7th ~ Next Song Circle, 7-8:30.  NOTE DATE CHANGE, due to a scheduling conflict. Our apologies!

‘Gratitudes’

Many thanks to Teresa Funke, who helped Mark facilitate last Sunday’s Paths of Heart while Colleen was in Montana, and also to Judi Lucero for sharing her flute rendition of “Sakura”, to celebrate cherry blossom season!

“Summoning gratitude is a sure way to get our life back on track. Opening our eyes to affirm gratitude grows the garden of our inner abundance, just as standing close to a fire eventually warms our heart.”
~ Alexandra Katehakis

CAR-EOGRAPHY *  You may park in the driveway, as well as diagonally along the north side of our property.  Should those areas become full, please park out on Hwy 1, which has plenty of space and a nice wide shoulder.  Please watch for cars as you are exiting and entering your vehicle, though! The carport area is reserved for folks with special parking needs. Out of respect for our neighbors, we ask that you kindly refrain from parking on Evans Drive beyond our property line. Car pooling is encouraged.  We also have a bike rack for cyclists!

Yoga with Heart!

We do yoga here in our “community space” on Mondays and Wednesdays.  All levels are welcome to participate.  Let us know if you’re interested in joining this heart centered practice!

“Be a lamp, or a lifeboat, or a ladder. Help someone’s soul heal. Walk out of your house like a shepherd.” ― Rumi

Please note, we are a “remove your shoes upon entering” household (what better way to bare our “souls”…!).  Feel free to bring slippers or thick socks for your comfort (and we always have extras!)
