Conscious Evolution

Mark’s musings this week…. When John O’Donohue writes, “For millions of years, before your arrived here, the dream of your individuality was carefully prepared”, my first thought is a rather doubtful, “Yeah, right!?” and then, “We are the offspring of biped desiring trilobites?…go figure!”  But then a deeper thought occurs…”Well, we are here after all.  And if a galaxy or a universe can arise out of something infinitesimally tiny, which is what modern physics is currently contemplating…well maybe there’s something to “that”!  And maybe keeping an open mind is a valuable thing!  And perhaps our open hearts can come along for the ride on this mind/heart boggling adventure.  More will be revealed…

Quotes to ponder

“It is our ultimate purpose to continually evolve as a species both physically and emotionally, as change is the mechanism for growth and development, and if we fear change we stunt our own growth and with it, human evolution.” ~ Kat Lahr

“You are a significant, unique, independent, individual soul, who has ventured into this world to expand your awareness of yourself and truth. You are an opportunity for the expansion of consciousness; you are an opportunity for evolution.”
~ Lorraine Nilon

“Our greatest human adventure is the evolution of consciousness. We are in this life to enlarge the soul, liberate the spirit, and light up the brain.” ~ Tom Robbins

Looking Ahead/Notes of Interest

November 1st ~ We are gearing up for the YOU MATTER Marathon, a month-long event taking place Nov. 1st to the 30th each year. YMM is a global initiative that creates positive connections between individuals and within communities.  Unlike traditional marathons, there is no running required! This is a movement of kindness to let people know that they matter. Participants simply share a pre-printed business card stating, “You Matter”, however and with whomever they are moved to do so!  Paths of Heart is a sponsor this year and we’ve got lots of cards to share with all who wish to participate, starting this Sunday.  For more information, visit https://youmattermarathon.com/

Sunday, November 3rd ~ Dia de los Muertos Celebration.  We will have our ofrenda set up and all are welcome to bring mementos of their passed loved ones to honor and celebrate!

Car-eography
You may park in the driveway, as well as diagonally along the north side of our property.  Should those areas become full, please park out on Hwy 1, which has plenty of space and a nice wide shoulder.  Do watch for passing cars as you are exiting and entering your vehicle, though! The carport area is reserved for folks with special parking needs. Out of respect for our neighbors, we ask that you kindly refrain from parking on Evans Drive beyond our property line. Car pooling is encouraged.  We also have a bike rack for cyclists!

About Paths of Heart…

Paths of Heart is a high spirited, heart-centered community where we gather together in music, poetry, commentary, and dialogue to create and nurture joy, compassion, gratitude, and love – in our own lives and throughout the world.  Paths of Heart is a 501(c)(3) Human Services/Educational non-profit organization that uses the arts, especially, to encourage and propel seekers of a better, more peaceful world to find ways to serve, while becoming more kind and compassionate human beings.

We welcome you as we collectively and individually explore the sweet mysteries of life – this is an invitation into co-creation! Our gatherings are most every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at 117 Evans Drive in north Fort Collins. Childcare is available (please let us know ahead of time so we can make arrangements).

We hope our paths cross soon!
