Johnsmith and Dan Sebranek at Paths of Heart this Sunday!

This is the power of gathering: it inspires us, delightfully, to be more hopeful, more joyful, more thoughtful; in a word, more alive. ~ Alice Waters

Welcome to Paths of Heart“- a high spirited, heart-centered community where we gather together in music, poetry, commentary, and dialogue to create and nurture joy, compassion, gratitude, and love – in our own lives and throughout the world.  Paths of Heart is a 501(c)(3) Human Services/Educational non-profit organization that uses the arts, especially, to encourage and propel seekers of a better, more peaceful world to find ways to serve, while becoming more kind and compassionate human beings.

We welcome you as we collectively and individually explore the sweet mysteries of life – this is an invitation into co-creation! Our gatherings are most every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at 117 Evans Drive in north Fort Collins. Childcare is available (please let us know ahead of time so we can make arrangements).

We hope our paths cross soon!

Gratitude!

As the Thanksgiving Holiday approaches, we are reminded of the myriad of things we are grateful for, each and every day.  We are especially pleased that our dear friends Johnsmith and Dan Sebranek will serendipitously be joining us in our celebration this Sunday!  Come enjoy the music of these two wonderful souls and bring your gratitude stories to share.  We’ll also have a “Gratitude Potluck” following our gathering (details below).  What a blessing this community is in our lives!  Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

“Today I choose to live with gratitude for the love that fills my heart, the peace that rests within my spirit, and the voice of hope that says all things are possible.” –  Anonymous

“Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.” – Henri Frederic Amiel

“Gratitude is when memory is stored in the heart and not in the mind.” – Lionel Hampton

Looking Ahead/Notes of Interest

Sunday, November 18th – Gratitude Potluck immediately following our Paths of Heart gathering. Please bring a dish to share if possible, and also remember to bring your own washable plate and utensils, as we aim for zero waste (we do have extras if you forget!).  We’ll provide cups, cloth napkins, and a variety of beverages. Let’s ‘break bread’ together and celebrate all we are grateful for!

You Matter Marathon – Throughout the month of November, Paths of Heart will be participating in this global initiative that creates positive connections between individuals and within communities.  You are invited to take a handful of “You Matter” cards (we’ve got them here for you) and thoughtfully give them to others as you are moved to do so (or even leave them in public places for others to find!).  The possibilities are endless.  Here is a short video explaining the You Matter Marathon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=by97UBYpSpw
You are also invited to share your experiences with the cards on the You Matter Marathon Facebook Page!

Tuesday, November 27th – Monthly Song Circle, 7-8:30 pm. Bring your voice (and an instrument if you’d like).  We come together to sing songs of joy, love, peace, hope, kindness ~ whatever lifts us up!  We’ll have tea and a few snacks to share.  Love offerings to Paths of Heart are gratefully received.

King Soopers Neighborhood Reward Gift Cards – We encourage and appreciate your participation in King Soopers fundraising gift card program!  When you use your Paths of Heart Gift Card, 5% of your total purchases are rewarded to Paths of Heart.  It does not cost you anything extra – simply load your gift card at the check-out with any amount (up to $500) before you buy your groceries.  We have cards with an initial amount of $10 loaded on them.  This is a really easy way to support Paths of Heart!  Thank you!

We invite you to visit our website, www.pathsofheart.org. There you’ll find past newsletters, a newsletter sign-up form, more about our organization, a photo gallery, and a ‘donate’ button, for those who prefer to donate to our non-profit with a credit card .  Stop by for a visit and please share with friends!

‘Gratitudes’

Thanks so much to Cheri Nichols who shared her fabulous voice and presence with us in our “songfest” last Sunday.  What fun!

“Gratitude is a powerful catalyst for happiness. It’s the spark that lights a fire of joy in your soul.” – Amy Collette

CAR-EOGRAPHY *  You may park in the driveway, as well as diagonally along the north side of our property.  Should those areas become full, please park out on Hwy 1, which has plenty of space and a nice wide shoulder.  Please watch for cars as you are exiting and entering your vehicle, though! The carport area is reserved for folks with special parking needs. Out of respect for our neighbors, we ask that you kindly refrain from parking on Evans Drive beyond our property line. Car pooling is encouraged.  We also have a bike rack for cyclists!

Yoga with Heart!

We do yoga here in our “community space” on Mondays and Wednesdays.  All levels are welcome to participate.  Let us know if you’re interested in joining this heart centered practice!

“Be a lamp, or a lifeboat, or a ladder. Help someone’s soul heal. Walk out of your house like a shepherd.” ― Rumi

Please note, we are a “remove your shoes upon entering” household (what better way to bare our “souls”…!).  Feel free to bring slippers or thick socks for your comfort (and we always have extras!)
