Honoring the “Many Paths”

This is the power of gathering: it inspires us, delightfully, to be more hopeful, more joyful, more thoughtful; in a word, more alive. ~ Alice Waters

Welcome to Paths of Heart“- a high spirited, heart-centered community where we gather together in music, poetry, commentary, and dialogue to create and nurture joy, compassion, gratitude, and love – in our own lives and throughout the world.  Paths of Heart is a 501(c)(3) Human Services/Educational non-profit organization that uses the arts, especially, to encourage and propel seekers of a better, more peaceful world to find ways to serve, while becoming more kind and compassionate human beings.

We welcome you as we collectively and individually explore the sweet mysteries of life – this is an invitation into co-creation! Our gatherings are most every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at 117 Evans Drive in north Fort Collins. Childcare is available (please let us know ahead of time so we can make arrangements).

We hope our paths cross soon!

Honoring the Many Paths

We are all on a different adventure, traveling our own unique path in life.  How lovely to support and honor one another along our journeys!  You are invited to share your path with us so we may encourage and love you on your way!

“Life is a journey, and if you fall in love with the journey, you will be in love forever.” ~ Peter Hagerty

“If you show up fully for the journey, if you honor the process, you will melt right into the outcome.” ~ Jennifer Williamson

“The right path is the one where you feel happy within yourself, at ease within yourself. When there is peace and harmony within, these questions lose their meaning.” ~ Shashi

Looking Ahead/Notes of Interest

At this time of year especially, we are looking for opportunities to serve others in our community.  A couple of options we invite you to participate in:

The Kid’s Closet at the First United Methodist Church is in need of any winter clothing, plus gloves, hats, jackets, pajamas, for school aged kids and teens, kid sizes 8 – adult XL. You can bring your donations to Paths of Heart and volunteers will deliver to The Kid’s Closet!

The Food Bank for Larimer County – While canned goods are always welcomed, the Food Bank encourages monetary donations, as they can actually provide $5 worth of food for every $1 donated!  You are welcome to bring a check to Paths on Sunday, and we will personally deliver to the Food Bank.

We had a very successful #GivingTuesday fundraising campaign on Facebook and are confident that many of your donations were matched by Facebook and Paypal (we’ll find out soon!).  Thank you so much for your generosity!!  Paths of Heart also participated in the spirit of Giving Tuesday and Colorado Gives Day by donating to the following organizations recently:
The Carter Center
The Environmental Defense Fund
Homeward Alliance
SEVA Foundation
Water4
Human Rights Campaign
Partners in Health
Southern Poverty Law Center
Everytown for Gun Safety
Urban Affairs Coalition
FOCO Cafe

Monday, December 24th, 7 pm – Our Annual Christmas Eve Celebration with music, poetry, and readings from a variety of holiday traditions around the world.

King Soopers Neighborhood Reward Gift Cards – We gratefully received our second Reward check from King Soopers recently!  We encourage and appreciate your participation in this fundraising gift card program.  When you use your Paths of Heart Gift Card at King Soopers, 5% of your total purchases are rewarded to Paths of Heart.  It does not cost you anything extra – simply load your gift card at the check-out with any amount (up to $500) before you buy your groceries.  We have cards with an initial amount of $10 loaded on them.  This is a really easy way to support Paths of Heart!  Thank you!

We invite you to visit our website, www.pathsofheart.org. There you’ll find past newsletters, a newsletter sign-up form, more about our organization, a photo gallery, and a ‘donate’ button, for those who prefer to donate to our non-profit with a credit card .  Stop by for a visit and please share with friends!

‘Gratitudes’

We are so grateful for those who took time to donate to Paths of Heart on #GivingTuesday and #ColoradoGivesDay, and to all those who donate whenever and whatever they can!  We lovingly use these funds to facilitate and further the mission of Paths of Heart – creating and nurturing peace, joy, gratitude, compassion, and love in ourselves and in the world. We are excited for the coming year and look forward to expanding our programs with more guest speakers, musicians, special events, and service projects!

“Gratitude is a powerful catalyst for happiness. It’s the spark that lights a fire of joy in your soul.” – Amy Collette

What are you grateful for today?

Other Details….

If this has been forwarded to you by a friend and you would like to join us, we encourage you to add your name to our newsletter list, as schedules do occasionally change, and we like to keep you informed of topics and special events as well. Just visit our website www.pathsofheart.org and click the newsletter sign-up link. If you know of other interested and kind-hearted souls, please refer them to our website, or they may also contact us by email: info@pathsofheart.org or by phone: 970-484-9600, to learn more about our organization. Thanks!

CAR-EOGRAPHY *  You may park in the driveway, as well as diagonally along the north side of our property.  Should those areas become full, please park out on Hwy 1, which has plenty of space and a nice wide shoulder.  Please watch for cars as you are exiting and entering your vehicle, though! The carport area is reserved for folks with special parking needs. Out of respect for our neighbors, we ask that you kindly refrain from parking on Evans Drive beyond our property line. Car pooling is encouraged.  We also have a bike rack for cyclists!

Yoga with Heart!

We do yoga here in our “community space” on Mondays and Wednesdays.  All levels are welcome to participate.  Let us know if you’re interested in joining this heart centered practice!

“Be a lamp, or a lifeboat, or a ladder. Help someone’s soul heal. Walk out of your house like a shepherd.” ― Rumi

Please note, we are a “remove your shoes upon entering” household (what better way to bare our “souls”…!).  Feel free to bring slippers or thick socks for your comfort (and we always have extras!)
